Software License and Usage Guidelines
Cross Platform License Permission
The software license for FileMaker Pro Advanced provides that customers can use the software on a single computer, Mac or Windows, but not both. In addition, FileMaker allows the primary user of the computer to make a second copy to use for his or her exclusive use on either a home or portable computer (“Home/Portable Use”).
FileMaker understands and recognizes that developers will often have the need to use the software on both a Mac and a Windows based desktop computer to develop and test their cross-platform FileMaker solutions. So, as a special benefit for members of the FileMaker Business Alliance, FileMaker allows such members to use a single licensed copy of FileMaker Pro Advanced software for their own exclusive internal use on both a Mac and a Windows based computer in lieu of their Home/Portable Use rights described above. You may not use both copies of the software concurrently.
For example, if a FileMaker Business Alliance member has licensed one copy of FileMaker Pro Advanced, this member may install the FileMaker Pro Advanced software on one Mac desktop (or portable) computer and on one Windows desktop (or portable) computer, provided that such software is used for the member’s own exclusive use. If this member uses the software in this manner, then they are not allowed to use an additional copy on an additional home or portable computer based on the Home/Portable Use provision.

Purchasing product under the 50% Discount Program for resale will result in immediate termination of your FBA membership.

FileMaker Business Alliance (FBA) members are eligible to purchase FileMaker software for their clients use at up to 28% discount from the standard retail price through the Preferred VAR Pricing program Program. The minimum order is only 1 unit!
This will allow you the ability to act as a full turn-key by providing your solution or custom development and FileMaker product to your clients. Moreover, this program is designed for FBA members whom the Solution Bundle Agreement Program (SBA) is not appropriate.

Solution Bundle Agreement Program (SBA)
The Solution Bundle Agreement program is designed for FBA Solution Providers who want to distribute FileMaker Software with their commercial solutions. Only FileMaker Business Alliance (FBA) members are eligible to participate in this program.
The SBA offers FBA members an affordable way to bundle FileMaker Pro with a commercial solution to sell to their clients. There is an order minimum of 50 seats of FileMaker Pro. FileMaker Server and FileMaker Mobile can also be purchased at a discount, but do not count toward your 50 seat minimum.
In addition, you have the opportunity to purchase the SBA Maintenance Program if your application is approved.
You cannot resell FileMaker SBA Licenses without your approved solution. Purchasing product for resale will result in immediate termination of your FBA membership.
Requirements:
- Must be an FBA member
- Must submit a full version of your commercial solution(s) that you want bundled with FileMaker. (Your solution will be reviewed and is subject to FileMaker approval)
- You MUST bundle the FileMaker SBA licenses with your approved solution.
